The Toona Tamer popper has been a very
successful popper for fishing Stripers, Tuna, and Big Honkin Bluefish.
It's through wired with a large triple stainless split ring. HEAVY DUTY
all the way!
It's sealed against
water for maximum durability, and painted with a very durable finish.
At 1.5 Oz, it's weighted perfectly for optimum presentation on a heavy
rod!
I recommend these to people fishing 30-50 lb standup type rods. They
throw very well and can be worked aggressively. The feather dressed tail
gives this alot of action!
It uses a
VMC feather dressed 6/0 VMC siwash hook, one of the strongest hooks on
the market, along with a 3x stainless split ring rated at 270 lbs.
Oversized Holographic eyes for
maximum effect! Stainless Steel through wired for maximum strength!
Designed for school blue fin tuna,
but will work very well for stripers / bluefish, or any other saltwater
predators.
Proper presentation of this popper is to cast then twitch the rod tip
while retrieving,
this will allow the lure to "walk the dog" with a very erratic action.
Vary your retrieve, slow for stripers, faster for tuna and bluefish. Digs and
throws water so it looks like fleeing bait from underneath! |
