There's a new
Sheriff in town...and his name is BIG BART.
Big Bart is 10" long and is weighted at 3.5oz to perfectly fit many
larger surf rods.
One of the original testers caught 7 fish over 20 lbs on a tide cycle with one of
these.
This plug dances like no other on the water and it casts very well.
Ron Arra uses one in his casting demos at many shows.
Salty's is the
only commercial manufacturer to use the large unique reverse squid eye!
It's a full 3/4" which closely matches a fleeing squid to a predatory
fish. Squid will flee out of the water when chased.
They look very much
like Big Bart or a large needlefish/cigar shape.
The large eye also gives the lure an enhancement over over smaller
lures-it gives the fish a better target!
The Sheriff is a CNC Turned pencil popper,
hand finished and sealed
against water TWICE for maximum durability, and hand painted.
It is weighted perfectly for
optimum presentation!
VMC Permasteel 4X strong 4/0 Belly hook, 4/0 treble tail hook.
Heavy Duty 150 lb
swivels, 2X 120 lb strong Rosco split rings.
Stainless Steel through wired with 304 stainless wire for maximum
strength and nickel hardware for durability!
Perfect for school blue fin tuna,
stripers, or LARGE bluefish, GT, Queenfish, Tailor and more!
And the reviews I get say it
all...
"Just wanted to
let you know, I missed probably the biggest bass I have seen yet to date
this morning. I put on the pearl white sheriff, and on my first cast, I
made it dance a little, then Wham!!
Huge Explosion on top! How I didn't
hook it I'll never know, nerves probably got me. The sound this fish
made when it hit the plug on the surface, sounded like someone tossed a
boulder in the water.
Had numerous tail slaps, and even though I missed
this fish I wanted to say thanks for making a great product, it made my
morning."
"No personal
bests but regularly nice fish into the low 40s"
"I had some of the
best fishing in my life this week at the Cape Cod Canal.
Almost a fish on every cast of the sherif popper for hours at a time!
Biggest fish was 27 pounds but they fought like 50's"
"I used all chunk
bait up until I met this kid down at the canal he let me use one of his
plugs that was from you . I watched him pull in about twenty five fish
in a hour
I could not get the hang of casting lures or using them he
stopped fishing and helped me I had the best day ever catching fish and
the most in one day including a 25 pound 42 inch striper.
Best day on
the water by far oh ya I lost his lure note learned about retying knots
the hard way."
"I took it with
me last night to a local beach and took it out of package and gave it to a
guy in my club. I said "try casting this".
He lets it fly and the darn plug is on the way to Florida.
His eyes pop out .
He goes "holy sheet, I never made a longer cast in my life".
He moves it once and a 10 pound blue is all over it.
The plug got "mojo" man......lol"
"My largest of the
year so far came at first dawn on a yellow w/ redhead Sheriff one
morning in June."
Proper presentation of a pencil popper is to cast then twitch the rod tip
while retrieving keeping the butt of the rod between your legs,
this will allow the lure to "walk the dog" from side to
side.
Vary your retrieve, slow for stripers, faster for bluefish.
