Currently Yellow Cedar is not being cut by many mills due to the housing

1 5/8x2"x36" Alaskan Cedar
CVG (Clear Vertical Grain) B&btr grade, 99.9% clear, turns, sands, and takes paint very well. Makes great
poppers, metal lip swimmers, and floating needles. This stock is rough
cut from 2x stock it is not square it is rectangle. Can be turned as is
or ripped down to make square for jigging etc.
9 squares fit in a box.
We have 4', 6', & 8' in stock but will not ship longer than 36"
Since most mills are not cutting the full 6/4
size any longer this stock is hard to find. Most mills are now cutting 1
3/8" stock which is too small to turn many body profiles such as Danny
style lures, many swimmers, etc.

2x2x36" Alaskan Cedar
CVG (Clear Vertical Grain) B&btr grade, 99.9% clear, turns, sands, and takes paint very well. Makes great
poppers, metal lip swimmers, and floating needles. This stock is square
and rough cut, typical size is 1 7/8" square (starts at 2" and is kiln
dried) most are slightly larger that I have measured.
8-9 squares fit in a box.
We have 6' in stock but will not ship longer than 36"
Full 2x stock in AYC is difficult to come by
and virtually unheard of on the East Coast due to milling and trucking costs
involved. We will also be bringing in some Port Orford Cedar soon in 2x6
rough stock. |

Be advised the cart may not calculate UPS shipping properly for
multiple boxes.
We will contact you with a shipping total on anything over 1 box.
Remember to use good dust collection or a
respirator when sanding any kind of cedar.
They contain a very defined crystalline structure which is bad to
inhale. All cedars are this way.
Also make sure you use a good quality hiding primer so you don't have
problems with bleeding which are prevalent with all cedars. |
